The Phantom 3 battery compartment does double duty: it locks the flight battery in place and provides the four mounting points that anchor the mainboard and ESC to the airframe. Replacing a damaged tray restores both functions simultaneously — battery security and electronics stability in a single OEM part.

Secure Battery Retention — Holds the Phantom 3 flight battery firmly in position inside the lower shell. A warped or cracked tray allows battery movement during flight — a risk this OEM replacement eliminates entirely.
