The CHASING Laser Caliper is an underwater measurement payload for the CHASING M2 and M2 Pro ROVs, enabling precise dimensional measurement of underwater objects, structures, and features directly from the ROV's camera feed. Using a green laser projection system, it projects two parallel laser points onto the target surface at a fixed 10cm spacing — providing an accurate, on-screen scale reference for measuring the size of objects, cracks, corrosion, marine growth, and structural features without requiring a diver in the water.
