SHIPPING POLICY
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Maverick Drone Systems L.L.C. sells high-value, technical, and often regulated unmanned systems and equipment. Proper packaging, carrier selection, and handling are critical. This Shipping Policy outlines our standard practices. By placing an order, you agree to the terms described below.
1 SHIPPING METHODS AND CARRIERS
Maverick Drone Systems partners with reputable national and regional carriers to ensure safe and reliable delivery of high-value unmanned systems and equipment. Standard shipping methods include:
- Ground Shipping — UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, or comparable service (most common for domestic orders)
- Expedited Ground — UPS 3-Day Select, FedEx Express Saver, or equivalent
- Air Shipping — UPS Next Day Air, FedEx Priority Overnight, or comparable (available for select items and destinations)
- Freight / LTL — For large, heavy, or palletized shipments (e.g., heavy-lift drones, robotic systems, large payloads). White glove or liftgate service available upon request for an additional fee.
We select the most appropriate carrier and service level based on order size, weight, destination, and item type. You may request a specific carrier or service level at checkout or by contacting our sales team prior to order confirmation. Additional charges may apply.
2 ORDER PROCESSING TIME
Most in-stock standard products ship within 1–3 business days after order confirmation and payment clearance. Processing time may be longer for:
- Special Orders, custom configurations, or made-to-order systems (see estimated lead times at time of quote)
- Orders requiring additional verification, compliance documentation, or export paperwork
- Large-volume or multi-item orders
- Orders placed on weekends or holidays (processing begins the next business day)
Please note:
Order processing times are estimates and do not include transit time. We will notify you via email if there are any unexpected delays.
3 SHIPPING RATES AND COSTS
Shipping rates are calculated based on order weight, dimensions, destination, and selected service level. Rates are displayed at checkout before payment.
Standard Domestic Shipping
Many standard in-stock items qualify for free or discounted ground shipping promotions. When free shipping is offered, it applies to the lowest-cost ground shipping method to the contiguous United States only.
Large, Heavy, or Oversized Items
Orders requiring freight/LTL service, liftgate delivery, or white glove service are quoted separately. These charges are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Insurance
All shipments are insured for the declared value up to the carrier’s standard limit. For high-value orders, we recommend (and may require) additional declared value coverage. The cost of additional insurance is the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.
4 DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES AND ESTIMATES
Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Actual transit times depend on the carrier, service level, destination, weather, customs (for international), and other factors beyond our control.

We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, customs holds, or incorrect/incomplete shipping addresses provided by the customer.
5 SHIPPING DESTINATIONS
Domestic Shipping
We ship to all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories may require additional time and cost. Contact us for a quote.
PO Boxes and APO/FPO
We generally do not ship to P.O. Boxes for high-value or large items. APO/FPO addresses are accepted for select smaller items; additional restrictions and longer delivery times apply.
Commercial vs. Residential Delivery
Residential delivery may incur additional fees compared to commercial/business addresses. Liftgate service is available for an extra charge when required.
6 SPECIAL, OVERSIZED, AND REGULATED ITEMS
Many of our products contain lithium batteries, are classified as dangerous goods, or are large/heavy items requiring special handling. These items are subject to additional shipping requirements:
- Lithium Battery Shipments — Must comply with DOT, IATA, and carrier regulations. Some products may only ship via ground or specific air cargo services.
- Hazardous Materials / Dangerous Goods — Additional documentation, labeling, and fees may apply. We handle all required compliance paperwork.
- Oversized or Heavy Items — May require freight service, liftgate, or inside delivery. Additional charges will be quoted and collected prior to shipment.
- Signature Required — Most orders over a certain value require adult signature upon delivery for security and insurance purposes.
We reserve the right to refuse shipment of any item that cannot be legally or safely transported or that would violate carrier policies.
7 TRACKING AND NOTIFICATIONS
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing tracking information and carrier details. You can track your shipment directly through the carrier’s website or app using the provided tracking number.
We also send delivery notifications and, when available, delivery exception alerts. It is your responsibility to monitor tracking and be available to receive the shipment or arrange for an alternative delivery location if needed.
8 DELIVERY ISSUES, LOST PACKAGES, AND REFUSED DELIVERIES
Damaged in Transit
If your package arrives damaged, do not accept delivery if severe damage is visible. Contact us immediately at support@maverickdrone.com or 612.808.9838 with photos. See our Return Policy for instructions on damaged shipments.
Lost or Missing Packages
If tracking shows delivery but you have not received the package, or if tracking indicates the package is lost, contact us within 48 hours of the expected delivery date. We will work with the carrier to investigate and resolve the issue.
Refused or Undeliverable Shipments
If you refuse delivery for any reason other than visible severe damage, or if the package is returned to us because of an incorrect/incomplete address or inability to deliver, you will be responsible for all original shipping charges plus return shipping, handling, and restocking fees. Incorrect Shipping Address
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incorrect, incomplete, or outdated shipping information provided by you.
9 INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We offer international shipping on a case-by-case basis for select products. International orders are subject to:
- Additional shipping, customs brokerage, and handling fees
- Import duties, taxes, and VAT (paid by the recipient)
- Export compliance documentation and possible licensing requirements
- Longer transit times and potential customs delays
- Restrictions on lithium batteries and certain unmanned systems
International customers are responsible for all import fees, duties, taxes, and compliance with their local laws and regulations. We are not responsible for packages held or seized by customs authorities.

10 RETURN SHIPPING
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped or confirmed transit damage caused by us). See our full Return Policy for complete details on return procedures, RMA requirements, and restocking fees.
All returned items must be shipped using a trackable method with insurance equal to the full product value. We recommend using the original packaging and a reputable carrier.
