Which Chasing ROV should I choose?
Per Chasing, the CHASING X is built for strong currents (up to 4.5 knots) and 350 m of dive depth. The M2 PRO MAX is a heavy-duty ROV with 360 degree omnidirectional hovering, a swappable 300 Wh battery and quick-mount accessories, rated to 200 m. The M2 PRO covers everyday inspection and survey work. Use the comparison above, or tell us your site, depth and payloads and we will help you choose.
What comes in a set?
Per Chasing, the M2 PRO MAX Advanced Set includes the drone, remote controller, E-Reel with 200 m tether, two 300 Wh batteries, a 128 GB SD card and a carrying case. The Professional Set swaps the reel and batteries for a shore-based power supply system. The CHASING X sets include the drone, waterproof remote controller, 400 m reel, 1000 Wh battery, carrying case and accessory backpack.
Can I add sonar, a DVL or a robotic arm?
Yes. Maverick lists Chasing-compatible sonar (Omniscan 450 FS, Ping 360, Tritech Gemini and Oculus), DVL and USBL positioning, grabber arms, laser measurement, auxiliary cameras and a water sampler. Check the compatibility in each product title, and call us if you are not sure what fits your ROV.
How do I run a Chasing ROV for long dives?
Chasing offers shore-based power supply systems and AC power for continuous operation, plus swappable batteries and manual and electric reels, all listed under Power, reels and tether.
