The SkyHub Methane Sniffer Software Package integrates contact-type methane sniffer sensors directly with the SkyHub onboard computer via dedicated firmware. Unlike remote laser detectors that measure from altitude, methane sniffers operate at close proximity to the source — ideal for low-concentration leak detection, anomaly confirmation, and detailed infrastructure inspection passes. Sensor initialization, configuration, and data stream management are handled automatically from mission start. Methane concentration data is captured continuously, timestamped, and georeferenced with UAV GPS position — producing gas concentration maps ready for GIS analysis and regulatory reporting. Live data streams to the UgCS companion application for real-time operator awareness.
