The SkyHub Software Package for Side-Scan Sonar is SPH Engineering's dedicated add-on that integrates side-scan sonar systems with the SkyHub onboard computer. Delivering automated, georeferenced dual-channel sonar data acquisition synchronized with UAV position and telemetry, it provides the complete software stack for the EchoNIMBUS-SSS system — enabling real-time acoustic monitoring via UgCS and generating wide-swath bottom imagery for object detection, habitat mapping, and underwater infrastructure inspection from a drone platform.

The SkyHub SSS Software Package provides the complete firmware and application layer for integrating side-scan sonar systems with the SkyHub onboard computer. Sensor initialization, dual-channel configuration, and data stream management are handled automatically from mission start. Port and starboard sonar data is captured continuously, timestamped, and georeferenced with UAV position and telemetry — producing wide-swath acoustic bottom imagery ready for GIS processing and hydrographic deliverables. Live sonar data streams to the UgCS companion application on the ground station throughout the flight, enabling real-time quality control and swath coverage verification before the drone returns to base.
