Overview

The SkyHub Software Package for Methane Detector is SPH Engineering's dedicated add-on that integrates Laser Falcon and LMC laser methane detectors with the SkyHub onboard computer. Delivering automated, georeferenced methane concentration data acquisition synchronized with UAV position and telemetry, it transforms any SkyHub-equipped drone into a precision aerial gas survey platform — enabling real-time leak detection and emissions monitoring for pipeline inspection, environmental compliance, and industrial facility surveys.

The SkyHub Methane Detector Software Package integrates Laser Falcon and LMC laser methane detectors directly with the SkyHub onboard computer via dedicated firmware. Sensor initialization, configuration, and data stream management are handled automatically from mission start. Methane concentration data is captured continuously, timestamped, and georeferenced with UAV GPS position and telemetry — producing survey-grade gas concentration maps ready for GIS analysis and regulatory reporting. Live concentration data streams to the UgCS companion application on the ground station throughout the flight, enabling real-time anomaly detection and immediate operator response to detected leaks.

Laser Falcon & LMC Support. One Package. The software supports both the Laser Falcon remote methane leak detector and the LMC laser methane concentration detector — covering standoff detection and continuous concentration survey modes for the full range of aerial gas inspection requirements.
