Overview
The AgiBot X2 Series is a next-generation humanoid robotics platform designed to advance embodied AI research and human-robot interaction.
With a height of approximately 1.3 meters and a weight of around 35 kg, the robot provides a compact yet capable humanoid form factor suitable for laboratories, public spaces, and research environments.
Its agile mechanical structure and high degree-of-freedom motion system enable smooth human-like movement including walking, gesturing, turning, and expressive body language.
The X2 Series includes 27 to 31 degrees of freedom depending on configuration.
This allows independent movement of:
head articulation
multi-axis waist motion
articulated arms and wrists
dynamic leg movement for stable walking
The result is a robot capable of complex coordinated movement including demonstrations, expressive gestures, and interactive performance.
The X2 platform integrates multiple perception systems that allow the robot to understand and interact with its surroundings.
These systems include:
RGB cameras for visual perception
LiDAR support for spatial awareness
microphones for voice interaction
inertial sensors for motion stabilization
Together, these systems allow the robot to perform autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, and environmental awareness tasks.
The X2 Series supports natural human-robot interaction through voice commands, gestures, and expressive movement.
The robot can respond with coordinated body motion, head gestures, and speech output, creating an engaging interactive experience for users.
These capabilities make the X2 well suited for:
technology demonstrations
education and STEM programs
exhibition environments
research in embodied intelligence

The X2 Series is designed to support research and development in robotics and embodied AI.
The platform includes development tools that allow engineers to:
access sensor data
control motion systems
develop autonomous behaviors
integrate AI models and perception systems
This makes the X2 a flexible platform for robotics research, AI experimentation, and advanced robotic applications.
