Bathymetric Surveys Where Standard Sensors Can't Survive.

The EchoLogger ETF 400S is a professional-grade 450 kHz echo sounder engineered for hydrographic surveying in chemically aggressive water environments. All externally exposed parts — including the transducer, housing, and cable — are constructed from PTFE (Teflon), providing full compatibility with low-pH conditions down to approximately pH 2 and resistance to even more aggressive acids under normal temperature conditions.

Where standard echo sounders corrode and fail, the ETF 400S performs — delivering high-resolution 450 kHz bathymetric data in acidic mine drainage, industrial effluent, geothermal water bodies, and other chemically hostile environments via SkyHub RS232 integration on DJI Matrice platforms.

Full PTFE Construction. pH≈2 Resistant. 450 kHz Precision.
Every externally exposed component of the ETF 400S — transducer, housing, and cable — is manufactured from PTFE (Teflon), providing full chemical resistance to low-pH conditions down to approximately pH 2 and more aggressive acids at normal temperature. Operating at 450 kHz with a 5° conical beam, the ETF 400S delivers high-resolution bottom detection from 0.15 to 100 meters in the most chemically hostile water environments where standard sensors cannot operate. RS232 SkyHub integration enables georeferenced data acquisition from DJI Matrice platforms.

Full PTFE (Teflon) Chemical Resistance

All externally exposed parts — including the transducer, housing, and cable — are manufactured from PTFE (Teflon), one of the most chemically inert materials available. This construction enables reliable operation in acidic mine drainage, industrial effluent, geothermal water bodies, acid rain-affected reservoirs, and other chemically aggressive environments where standard sensors rapidly degrade or fail.

450 kHz High-Resolution Shallow Water Performance

Operating at 450 kHz with a tight 5° conical beam, the ETF 400S delivers high-resolution bottom detection from as shallow as 0.15 meters down to 100 meters — providing complete bathymetric coverage across the full shallow-water survey envelope, even in the most chemically hostile conditions. The narrow beam minimizes off-axis returns for clean, high-fidelity depth data.

SkyHub RS232 Integration

The ETF 400S connects directly to the SkyHub onboard computer via RS232 interface, enabling seamless data acquisition, GNSS timestamping, and georeferenced bathymetric dataset generation. Compatible with DJI M350 RTK, M300 RTK, and M600 Pro platforms via SkyHub integration for fully autonomous UAV-based hydrographic surveys in chemically aggressive environments.

Full PTFE Construction — Acid & Chemical Resistance

Every externally exposed component of the ETF 400S is manufactured from PTFE (Teflon) — one of the most chemically inert materials available. This construction enables reliable, continuous operation in acidic mine drainage, industrial effluent, geothermal water bodies, acid rain-affected reservoirs, and other chemically aggressive environments where standard plastic or metal-exposed sensors would rapidly degrade or fail.

450 kHz — High-Resolution Shallow Water Performance

Operating at 450 kHz with a tight 5° beam angle, the ETF 400S delivers high-resolution bottom detection from as shallow as 0.15 meters down to 100 meters — providing complete bathymetric coverage across the full shallow-water survey envelope, even in the most chemically hostile conditions.

The ETF 400S connects directly to the SkyHub onboard computer via RS232 interface, enabling seamless data acquisition, GNSS timestamping, and georeferenced bathymetric dataset generation from DJI Matrice platforms. The PTFE-jacketed cable is protected by a sleeve that also supports the echo sounder and housing weight during flight.
