Zenmuse L2 integrates frame LiDAR, a self-developed high-accuracy IMU system, and a 4/3 CMOS RGB mapping camera, providing DJI flight platforms with more precise, efficient, and reliable geospatial data acquisition. When used with DJI Terra, it delivers a turnkey solution for 3D data collection and high-accuracy post-processing.
NOTE: To prepare the lidar data and create a LAS file, you need a GNSS base station. It is recommended, for easiest processing, to use the DJI D-RTK 2 Base Station. You can, however, use a CORS station or your own GNSS base station. You will need to download and install DJI Terra to prepare the LAS file (point cloud). Bouwman sets the speed at 15 m.p.h., slow enough to ensure he’s getting uniform coverage. He thinks that speed does a better job than the higher speed used by a full-size helicopter. Altitude is generally 10 to 12 feet. Although the sales information claims a 30-foot wide swath, his testing with water sensitive paper says 24 feet is more realistic. In perfect conditions he might bump that to 26 feet.
