The Medusa MS-1000 is a professional UAV-integrated gamma-ray spectrometer delivering full-spectrum radiometric data acquisition from a drone platform. Measuring potassium (K), uranium (U), and thorium (Th) concentrations alongside total dose rate and artificial radionuclide detection, it enables quantitative geological mapping, mineral exploration, environmental baseline surveys, and nuclear site characterization — with georeferenced data acquisition via SkyHub and real-time UgCS monitoring throughout the mission.

Full Gamma Spectrum. KUT Mapping. Dose Rate. Airborne.
The Medusa MS-1000 captures the complete gamma-ray energy spectrum from a UAV platform — enabling quantitative mapping of potassium (K), uranium (U), and thorium (Th) concentrations, continuous total dose rate monitoring, and identification of artificial radionuclides in a single airborne survey. Integrated with the SkyHub onboard computer, radiometric data is captured continuously, timestamped, and georeferenced with UAV GPS position and telemetry — producing full-spectrum datasets ready for GIS analysis, geological interpretation, and regulatory reporting. Live data streams to the UgCS companion application throughout the flight for real-time survey monitoring and quality control.

KUT Elemental Mapping. Geological Intelligence from the Air. Quantitative mapping of potassium (K), uranium (U), and thorium (Th) concentrations enables lithological discrimination, geological unit mapping, and mineral exploration targeting from a UAV — covering large survey areas at a fraction of the time and cost of ground-based radiometric surveys.

Dose Rate Monitoring & Radionuclide Detection. Safety and Compliance. Continuous total gamma dose rate measurement supports radiation safety surveys, environmental baseline monitoring, and emergency response operations. Full-spectrum analysis enables identification and mapping of artificial radionuclides for nuclear site characterization and contamination assessment.

Georeferenced Radiometric Maps. GIS-Ready from Landing. Full gamma-ray spectrum and dose rate data is captured with synchronized GPS position throughout the mission via SkyHub — producing georeferenced radiometric maps that integrate directly into GIS platforms and geophysical processing workflows for geological reporting, environmental compliance, and regulatory submissions.

The Medusa MS-1000 is a professional UAV-integrated gamma-ray spectrometer designed for high-sensitivity airborne radiometric surveys. Measuring the full gamma-ray energy spectrum, it enables quantitative mapping of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) — including potassium (K), uranium (U), and thorium (Th) — as well as detection of artificial radionuclides and total dose rate monitoring from a drone platform. Designed for integration with the SkyHub onboard computer and UgCS ground control software for georeferenced, mission-triggered radiometric data acquisition.

Key Capabilities

  • Full Gamma-Ray Spectrum Measurement — Captures the complete gamma-ray energy spectrum for quantitative radiometric analysis, including K/U/Th elemental mapping and artificial radionuclide identification
