Full Gamma Spectrum. KUT Mapping. Dose Rate. Airborne.
The Medusa MS-1000 captures the complete gamma-ray energy spectrum from a UAV platform — enabling quantitative mapping of potassium (K), uranium (U), and thorium (Th) concentrations, continuous total dose rate monitoring, and identification of artificial radionuclides in a single airborne survey. Integrated with the SkyHub onboard computer, radiometric data is captured continuously, timestamped, and georeferenced with UAV GPS position and telemetry — producing full-spectrum datasets ready for GIS analysis, geological interpretation, and regulatory reporting. Live data streams to the UgCS companion application throughout the flight for real-time survey monitoring and quality control.

The Medusa MS-1000 is a professional UAV-integrated gamma-ray spectrometer designed for high-sensitivity airborne radiometric surveys. Measuring the full gamma-ray energy spectrum, it enables quantitative mapping of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) — including potassium (K), uranium (U), and thorium (Th) — as well as detection of artificial radionuclides and total dose rate monitoring from a drone platform. Designed for integration with the SkyHub onboard computer and UgCS ground control software for georeferenced, mission-triggered radiometric data acquisition.
Key Capabilities
- Full Gamma-Ray Spectrum Measurement — Captures the complete gamma-ray energy spectrum for quantitative radiometric analysis, including K/U/Th elemental mapping and artificial radionuclide identification
- KUT Mapping — Quantitative mapping of potassium (K), uranium (U), and thorium (Th) concentrations for geological mapping, mineral exploration, and soil characterization
- Total Dose Rate Monitoring — Continuous measurement of total gamma dose rate for radiation safety surveys and environmental baseline monitoring
- Artificial Radionuclide Detection — Identifies and maps artificial radionuclides for nuclear site characterization, contamination mapping, and emergency response surveys
- SkyHub Integration — Integrates with the SkyHub onboard computer for automated, georeferenced radiometric data acquisition synchronized with UAV GPS position and telemetry
- Real-Time UgCS Monitoring — Live radiometric data streamed to the UgCS companion application on the ground station for real-time survey monitoring and quality control
- Georeferenced Data Output — Full spectrum and dose rate data logged with synchronized GPS position for direct GIS integration and geophysical processing
