Overview

The SkyHub Software Package for MagNIMBUS is SPH Engineering's dedicated add-on that integrates the MagNIMBUS UAV magnetometer with the SkyHub onboard computer. Supporting both single-sensor and dual-sensor gradiometer configurations, it delivers automated, georeferenced magnetic field data acquisition synchronized with UAV position and telemetry — enabling real-time anomaly detection via UgCS for UXO clearance, archaeological investigation, mineral exploration, and geophysical survey. Note: gradiometer configuration requires 2× licenses.

The SkyHub MagNIMBUS Software Package integrates the MagNIMBUS magnetometer directly with the SkyHub onboard computer via dedicated firmware, supporting both single-sensor magnetometry and dual-sensor gradiometer configurations. Sensor initialization, configuration, and data stream management are handled automatically from mission start. Magnetic field data is captured continuously, timestamped, and georeferenced with UAV GPS position and telemetry — producing survey-grade magnetic anomaly maps and gradient datasets ready for GIS analysis and geophysical interpretation. Live data streams to the UgCS companion application throughout the flight for real-time anomaly detection. Gradiometer configuration requires 2× licenses.

Gradiometer Support. Enhanced Anomaly Resolution. The MagNIMBUS software supports dual-sensor gradient measurement — enabling magnetic gradient surveys that provide enhanced anomaly resolution, improved depth estimation, and superior noise rejection compared to total-field magnetometry alone. Gradiometer configuration requires 2× licenses, one per sensor channel.

Real-Time Anomaly Detection. See Subsurface Features in Flight. Live magnetic field data streams from the MagNIMBUS to the UgCS companion application on the ground station throughout the mission — giving operators immediate visibility of magnetic anomalies, UXO signatures, and survey coverage before the drone lands.

Georeferenced Magnetic Maps. Analysis-Ready from Landing. Magnetic field and gradient data is captured with synchronized GPS position throughout the mission — producing georeferenced anomaly maps that integrate directly into GIS platforms and geophysical interpretation workflows for UXO reporting, archaeological documentation, and mineral exploration deliverables.
