The SENSYS MagDrone R1 is an ultra-portable triaxial fluxgate magnetometer engineered for high-sensitivity aerial magnetic surveys at extremely low altitudes. Its unique self-foldable sensor mount enables safe, crash-resistant operation at sensor-to-surface clearances of just a few tens of centimeters — critical for UXO detection over vegetated terrain where suspended sensor systems are impractical. Compatible with any UAV carrying a minimum 1 kg payload, and optimized for DJI M350 RTK and M300 RTK platforms with SkyHub data logging.

The MagDrone R1's unique mechanical design enables aerial magnetometry at sensor-to-surface clearances starting from just a few tens of centimeters — the lowest operational altitude of any UAV magnetometer in its class. If the sensor contacts ground, vegetation, or obstacles during flight, the self-foldable mount absorbs the impact without causing a drone crash. This capability is essential for UXO search over fields with dense vegetation, where maximum detection sensitivity demands minimum sensor altitude. Suitable for Non-Technical Survey (NTS) and Technical Survey (TS) operations confirming the presence of ferrous UXO and landmines with significant metal content.

SkyHub-Integrated. Data-Ready. The MagDrone R1 has no internal data recorder and requires the SkyHub onboard computer with magnetometer data logging software for georeferenced data acquisition. UXO & Landmine Detection Note

The MagDrone R1 can detect ferrous UXO and certain landmine types (including M15, M6, TM-62M anti-tank mines; M16, PROM-1, OZM-3/4/72 anti-personnel mines and similar types with significant ferrous metal content). However, magnetometers cannot detect most modern landmine types and must never be used to confirm the absence of landmines or small ordnance in an area. The system is a valuable asset during NTS and TS operations for confirming the presence of ferrous UXO.
