The Radar Systems Zond Aero LF is an ultra-lightweight multi-frequency low-frequency UAV GPR system delivering deep subsurface penetration up to 12 m with maximum frequency flexibility across the 50–400 MHz range. Shipping with 100, 150, and 300 MHz antenna sets and supporting custom frequencies by request, it is the most versatile GPR system in the Radar Systems portfolio — adaptable to any survey depth requirement from shallow utility detection to deep geological investigation. RTS technology with high hardware stacking ensures high-resolution, low-noise data on every pass.

50–400 MHz. Up to 12 m Depth. Maximum Versatility.
The Zond Aero LF's unshielded dipole antenna architecture supports the full 50–400 MHz frequency range — the widest of any system in the Radar Systems portfolio. Three antenna sets (100, 150, and 300 MHz) are included as standard; custom frequencies are available on request, and supplied dipoles can be field-trimmed to achieve a specific center frequency without additional hardware. Real-Time Sampling (RTS) with high hardware stacking delivers scan rates up to 2,500 scans/s and sample rates up to 1,280,000 — capturing 32-bit raw data with selectable time ranges from 18 ps to 2.5 ns for precise subsurface profiling at depths up to 12 m. Data is output in SEG-Y format with trace geotagging for direct GIS integration.

Three Frequencies Included. Infinite Flexibility. The Zond Aero LF ships with 100, 150, and 300 MHz antenna sets as standard — covering shallow high-resolution profiling through deep geological investigation in a single system. Custom frequencies across the full 50–400 MHz range are available on request, and supplied dipoles can be field-trimmed to achieve any required center frequency.

Up to 12 m Depth. Deep Penetration from a Drone. At low frequencies, the Zond Aero LF achieves subsurface penetration up to 12 m in favorable ground conditions — enabling geological, geotechnical, and environmental investigations at depths that high-frequency airborne GPR systems cannot reach, all from a UAV platform.

Ultra-Lightweight. Drone-Ready. The GPR controller with drone mountings weighs just 0.8 kg, with antenna sets ranging from 0.1 kg (300 MHz) to 0.4 kg (100 MHz) — keeping total airborne payload well within the capacity of medium-sized UAVs. Powered directly from the drone's main battery with no external power source required.
